SMG-1016 equipment
SMG-1016M is a VoIP gateway that supports both media and signaling in a single unit. Device provides high quality voice services, carrier-class reliability and high performance. SMG-1016M can be used for protocol conversion and interconnecting IP and TDM networks. It provides registration of SIP access gateways and SIP telephones, call routing, centralized billing, SORM function and media gateway function (voice coder conversion, conference call, DTMF signals generation and detection, voice message server).
Progress investnents
Submodular construction provides easy capacity growth, and easy system modernization is achieved with minimal investments. The device supports 4 through 16 Е1 links (SS7 and ISDN PRI signaling), 160 through 960 VolР channels (G.711 codec with packetization period more than 10 ms). SMG-1016M is a flexible and cost-effective platform for updating, deployment, and migration to next-generation network infrastructure.
SOIA
SOIA function is optional. Supervisory body connection provides by E1 interface.
High quality voice services
Integrated IP-PBX is designed on the base of Erlang programming language for making reliable high loaded systems.
IP-PBX enables to register up to 2000 SIP clients. To provide high-quality voice services it is used QoS, set up jitter-buffer parameters and supported all main codecs of IP telephony.
Updated version
SMG-1016M is an updated version of SMG-1016. There are two power packs, which supports hot swapping, two e-SATA interfaces and USB-port (for storage device connection) in SMG-1016M.
